As a responsible developer and operator of low carbon infrastructure, we carefully consider the local impact of our projects, and we are committed to sharing value with people who live and work nearby. Whether it’s through allocating funds to local groups and causes, sponsoring local charities and events, supporting local jobs and businesses, protecting and enhancing nature around our sites, or engaging with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, we’re here to help local communities thrive.

Monk Fryston C of E Primary School
“We were so pleased to see first-hand how Harmony Energy is working sustainably. Our children are passionate about tackling climate change through understanding renewable energy solutions, and visiting this site brought that to life for them.”
Harrogate 10k
“Harmony Energy has been the perfect partner and has been with us at every stage of our journey, supporting us with publicity design right through to podium prize giving. Their generous financial support has meant we can stage great events that enables new and experienced athletes to give their best on a beautiful course whilst enjoying a premium race experience.”
Hive Helpers
“We will be using the money to provide free pollinator workshops in local primary schools. Each workshop we explain that whereas honeybees have beekeepers to look after them, wild bees and other pollinators have to manage on their own. We show how pollination works using a felt flower model and have fun activities to show why pollination is so important for food production.”
The Peel Project
“We support the underserved ethnic minority communities in Hull, many of whom are first-generation immigrants facing language barriers and other challenges associated with life in the UK. The Pillswood Community Fund is a game changer for us. With this funding, we have distributed over 1,000 energy-saving light bulbs to families in need, and translated our bespoke materials into different languages to reach more people.”
The Parent Council of Denend Primary School
“The support from the HEIT Little Raith Community Fund will enable us to transform our concrete playground into a more inspirational and well-being-focused hub for the students. In addition to the new cycle route, buddy benches, artworks and planters, we are also planning to install a sensory wall that will benefit the neurodiverse students.”
The Brownlee Foundation
“None of this could happen without our dedicated team of employees and volunteers, who are at venues all week in the sun and the rain. Thank you also to the schools and teachers who bring their pupils to the events. The Foundation is privately funded so our commercial partners are essential, thank you for your support.”
Richmondshire RUFC
“We are delighted with our new acquisition. The system will help us in our aim to become net carbon zero within the next ten years and, in the short term, reduce our day-to-day running costs at the club.”
Ripon Walled Garden
“We are extremely grateful to all the Harmony Energy team who ran for our charity and completed the Great North Run. It’s going to have a really strong impact on our work.”
Imago
“Imago is delighted to receive support from HEIT’s Broadditch Community Fund to support our Young Adult Carers in the local area to the Broadditch site. The Young Adult Carers are aged 16-25 and are caring for a relative or close friend who has a disability, long-term health condition, mental health issue or substance misuse issue. The care they provide can be emotional and/or practical. The funding will pay for the young adult carers to have a much-needed break from their caring role, meet others in similar situations, and build their support networks through workshops and respite opportunities.”
River Thame Conservation Trust
“We work closely with volunteers from the Risborough Environment Group to protect the town’s rare and fragile chalk streams through water quality monitoring and education programmes. The funding from the HEIT Bumpers Community Fund will enable us to dedicate more resources to raising public awareness of their importance and to equipping local volunteers as well-rounded citizen scientists.”
Richmond Walking and Book Festival
“On behalf of the Richmond Walking and Book Festival I would like to thank Harmony Energy for its generous donation which has directly funded Megan’s forthcoming visit to our festival.
“Securing such a high-profile wildlife presenter, conservationist and author will engage, excite and inspire local people from across our community to work even harder to protect our natural world.”
Ripon Walled Garden
“WOW… following being away for a few days and then walking into the garden area, I was blown away by the impact of the work that Team Harmony have achieved, a HUGE thank you to all, as you have made such a difference to our Charity.”
Farnham Community Farm
“We plan to install ground-mounted solar panels on our 2-acre market garden; this means we’ll be using clean energy to grow our chemical-free and nature-positive veg for the people of Farnham and surrounding areas. The panels can also be incorporated into farm tours which we give to visiting schools and community groups. A win-win for the community and the environment.”
New Energy Business School
“A highlight was the excursion to the Harmony Energy storage site in Buckinghamshire. Almost hidden in the landscape, we were welcomed to the largest battery storage installation in Europe. Our inspiring guides told us all about operations, economics and the crucial service the batteries provide to the power system of the UK. The coming electric era will be characterised by flexibility, balancing and storage. We saw the future emerge!”
Bag Books
“This fund will help us reach our goals, and we can’t wait to get out and spread joy through sensory storytelling!”
